SEND
At Bidston Village, we "ensure that staff are suitably equipped to identify pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)" and "work closely with many different specialists to make sure that pupils receive timely and appropriate support" Pupils in our LA placed resource provision have their learning adapted so they "develop their knowledge and skills well in a range of subjects". Pupils with SEND, in mainstream classes, "successfully access the same learning as their peers".

At Bidston Village CE Primary School we provide all children with the opportunity and support to develop their full potential through a rich, broad and balanced education and through experiencing the love and security of belonging to a caring Christian community. We aim to enable all pupils with special education needs and disabilities to be fully involved in the life of the school, and to strive to be the best they can, taking an active role in school life, feeling secure, and happy whilst experiencing success in a stimulating, caring and Christian learning environment.
It is really important to us that our SEND information report meets your needs and answers the questions that are important to you. It has been produced in collaboration with parents, however if you would like to feedback any further comments regarding the SEND information report please contact our SENDCOs via the school email address or office telephone number (0151) 652 0673.
Bidston Village CE Primary School is supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils with Special Educational Needs, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. In addition, Bidston Village has base provision for 24 pupils with Education and Health Care Plans (EHCPs) that address their Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). These places are allocated by the local authority. If your child already has an EHCP or is in the application process and you would like to visit our bases, please contact Vicki Fallon (EIB SENDCO).
