Christian Ethos Group

The Christian Ethos Group is a group of children, from KS2, who are chosen by their peers to represent their class. This group aims to contunue to build upon the good work that has developed our Christian distinctiveness, promote our school values, enhance children’s education and develop links within the community and St Oswalds church.

The role of the Ethos group is to help our children understand our school Christian Values. We meet in order to discuss aspects of our school’s commitment to our Christian ethos, to work on the value for that term and decide on the activities we would like to do.

We ask fellow pupils for their opinion about our values and our worship and use their feedback to shape future worship. We will report to our governors on what we have thought about, discussed and initiated. During the academic year 2024/25 we have plans to create our new outdoor worship space, which can be accessed by all children and staff in school.

The Ethos group has continued to take part in The Remembrance services at Flaybrick Cemetery. The services are  conducted by the Rev J Smith and attended by the Mayor of Wirral.  We look forward to attending again this year and honoring our fallen heroes.

We will keep you updated on the Christian Distinctiveness of our school and any other activities/visits we take part in.
